May 2023. Another clearance sale auction. Once again, I was the only bidder. Large painting, 115cm x 68cm, framed in Singapore. I have no provenance on this painting or its origins. It has exquisite detail and probably made for the tourist market. It is painted on cloth and then a backing board is also used.
So far I have been unable to identify the artist.
I wonder if this is not a depiction of the nymphs in the Story of Arjuna’s meditation from the Hindu epic Mahabarata.
