May 2023, this painting was advertised on FaceBook marketplace. It measures 100cm x 80cm. It is a painting on cloth, has original frame and a backboard. At first I thought it was painted on board, but soon discovered it is painted on a cloth.
The seller told me she purchased the painting approx. 45 years ago in the late 1970s or early 1980s in Bali and the frame was the original hand carved wooded frame.
The owner struggled to sell this for AUD$50, so by the time I saw it she had reduced the price to $40. This is another amazing piece and I wonder why more people do not treasure these works. I still need to research more about this work, I may never find the artist though.
