Balinese Painting. October 2023, another auction win at my favorite auction house.
This one measures 97cm x 80cm. Fully framed in wooden frame. The painting appears to be on fabric which has been glued? down on board.
The auction listing was for a “forest print” on textile, but clearly this is a beautiful Balinese painting.
The detail is just exquisite as are many of these Ubud paintings.
The whole thing has a bit of a buckle. Again, this is a vintage piece pre 1996 as the sticker of the framers indicates the phone numbers in Melbourne before the extra number digit change.
